3 A RARE PARK SOCKET LONG NOSE PUTTER. "Wm Park" on a large, virtually MINT NEW Driving Putter circa 1900. The head was initially intended to be a spliced neck, but was converted to a socket. The "Wm Park" stamp is weak below the replacement grip. G-7+ $750-1250

4 A THORN HEAD PUTTER BY W.D. DAY. A circa 1870's long nose thorn head putter stamped "W D Day" in block letters on the head. Replacement shaft is stamped "R Forgan, St. Andrews" below an old sheep skin grip. Day began making clubs in Edinburgh about 1860. Just an average example. G-5 $475-950

31 "THE ORION" PUTTER with large flange and flat hosel was made by Wm. Gibson, Kinghorn" and his "Star" mark is on the sole. Shaft is also flat its entire length. G-7 $150-275

32 A SCARCE "LW" SPALDING PUTTER. An interesting broad soled, flanged back stamped "A G Spalding & Bros" in script with "LW" below. The hosel and shaft are oval. The face has a dot punched "Pyramid" design. Have seen only a few of these in the past 12 years. G-6+ $175-350

33 A PARK BENT NECK PUTTER. "W Park's Special Patent" nearly emoried away on his Bent Neck smooth face putter patented in 1892. See "Ellis", P 171. Shaft is clearly stamped "Wm Park" below a period type replacement grip. G-5. $120-200

34 A JAMES GOURLAY ANTI-SHANK PUTTER with the "Crescent and Star" on the back. There is a dramatic "crook" in the hosel. Grip is a replacement on an original looking shaft. Gourlay was from Carnoustie. G-5 $140-220

38 A GOOD GENERAL PURPOSE IRON. A mid to late 19th Century General Purpose Iron with a slightly dished and hooked smooth face. The nearly five inch long hosel with a squared of top of blade and hosel join has deep heavy saw tooth nicking indicative of Pre-1875 irons. The replacement shaft is stamped "R Forgan & Sons, St. Andrews" below a period type grip. G-6 $450-850

39 A HOOKED FACE GENERAL IRON circa 1860-1875 General Purpose Iron in the style of John Gray. G-6 $300-550

40 A PATENTED STEEL SOCKET BUSSEY IRON. "Patented Steel Socket" and "G S B" with an arrow through it below "Bussey & Co., London" on a smooth face Iron. The steel socket "Seam" clearly visible on the hosel. Original "One Piece Grip" marked "Bussey's Grip Handle". Very scarce in "All Original" condition. G-7 $225-425

41 A RARE MURRAY PATENT CLEEK circa 1911-1915. The hickory shaft is joined to the steel hosel in the same manner as a spliced neck wood. The excellent back stampings are: "The F. Murray, Patent #9439" and Gibson's unusual stamp of his "Star" surrounded by "Wm Gibson, Ltd, Kinghorn, Scotland" inside a large Double Circle. Grip appears to be the original. An outstanding, near mint example. G-8+ $2,000-3200

42 A RARE CIRCA 1870-1880 LONG BLADE CLEEK. The hosel is 4 1/2 inches long and has a "Squared Off" top of blade and hosel join indicative of pre-1890 forging. No maker's marks are visible on the back. Shaft and grip are replacements. G-5 $450-750

44 A NICE JAMIE ANDERSON CLEEK circa 1875-1885 with a long blade that has been silvered. The usually very weak Anderson of Anstruther stamp is nearly full. Shaft and grip look like originals. A club that displays very well. G-7 $350-550

46 A SUPERB FORGAN BULGER DRIVER circa 1895 with the "Plume" mark, "Mitchell Manchester" and "R Forgan" on the honey colored beech head. Appears to be MINT NEW! Shaft stamped below the original grip. 50 A RARE SCOTTISH GOLF CO BRASSIE. "SGCMCo Ltd, Edinburgh" is on the honey colored transitional pear shaped beechwood head. SGCMCo was only in business from 1895-1898. Original shaft has a whipping covered repair and the grip is an original looking sheep skin. G-5 $450-800

Press Release: UPDATE-GREG NORMAN’S GOLF BALL FROM THE MASTERS

 The Greg Norman golf ball which I found on the 12th hole of the Augusta National Golf Club during the 3rd round of this year’s Masters tournament is now available for bid. All proceeds from the ball will be tax-deductible and sent to Search Ministries, a non-profit charity, which has played an important role in the lives of players and families on the PGA Tour for the past 20 years. Included with the autographed ball is a personal note from Greg Norman, the original Augusta Chronicle newspaper article describing the pivotal event, and other media articles of interest. The auction will be held through Chuck Furjanic, Inc., Golf Collectibles in Irving, Texas Besides the Norman ball, a Masters flag with the signatures of Jose Maria Olazabal and Mark O’Meara (also for Charity) and Furjanic’s amazing offerings of golf antiques will also be up for bidding.
