143.....2.....FORGAN, ROBERT, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: C-1905 smooth face goose neck blade putter with "R Forgan & Son, St Andrews" surrounding their "Crown" mark. Very long wrapped leather grip may be covering Forgan's shaft stamp. G-7 $120.
143.....3.....WINTON, W & CO, LT'D, MONTROSE, SCOTLAND: "Willie Park's Original Bent Neck Putter" remade C-1920 to satisfy the demand for Park's famous putter. Nice putter that is virtually mint. G-9 $195.

Head and sole stamps are strong, however, the top of the hosel has some very old whipping most likely covering a small hosel crack. Very seldom offered and even with the hosel repair, a nice collectible. G-6 $175.
143.....5.....STANDARD GOLF CO, SUNDERLAND, ENGLAND: A very scarce "The Mills 'A K' Model" Medium Lie rectangular aluminum head Putter. Shaft and grip are replacements. G-6 $175.
143.....6.....STANDARD GOLF CO, SUNDERLAND, ENGLAND: An outstanding "Hilton 'X'" Mills aluminum head Long Nose Putter with Upright Lie. Head and sole stamps are excellent. G-8 $245.
143.....7.....STANDARD GOLF CO, SUNDERLAND, ENGLAND: An outstanding Mills "K" Model Long Nose aluminum head putter C-1900. Head and sole stamps are strong and the hosel is sound. The shaft is stamped "Auchterlonie, St Andrews" below an old sheep skin grip. One of the most sought after Mills long nose putters. G-8 $475.
143.....8.....CLARK, J & D, MUSSELBURGH: "J & D Clark, Makers, Musselburgh" clearly stamped C-1895-1900 compact blade Brass Putter. The shaft is short with a replacement grip. A nice early brass putter. G-6 $125.

143.....10.....CONDIE, ROBERT, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: An outstanding mussel back "Jigger" stamped "R Condie, St. Andrews" surrounding his "Flower" cleekmark. Nice all original C-1915 specialty club with a dot punched face. G-8 $110.
143.....11.....FORGAN, ROBERT, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: A nice smooth face C-1908-10 stamped "R Forgan & Son, Scotia Niblick". All original with stamped shaft and sheep skin grip. G-7 $135.
143.....12.....GRAY, JOHN, PRESTWICK: An outstanding, near SUPERB circa 1875 CLEEK with "Jn Gray" boldly on the back. 4 3/4 inch hosel has long saw tooth nicking. The top of blade and hosel join are square and the heel and toe of the blade are almost identical in depth. The replacement sheep skin grip keeps this from the superb class. A great club by one of Scotland's premier early cleek makers! G-8+ $950.
143.....13.....KAY, JAMES, SEATON CAREW, DURHAM: An outstanding C-1900-1910 smooth face Lofting Iron with a dramatic DIAMOND back weighting design. Much more pronounced than the Wilson clubs from the 1920's. "Carew, Trade Maker" stamp on the back. All original with the shaft stamped "015". G-8 $120.
143.....14.....NICOLL, GEORGE, LEVEN, SCOTLAND: A nice dramatic mussel back with "Braid Jigger" stamped below Nicoll's "Hand" mark. Nice lined face specialty club. G-7+ $110.

143.....17.....STEWART, TOM, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: "Ben Sayers, North Berwick" stamped on the head and original shaft of a C-1905-10 short blade dot face Cleek. Shaft has a repaired crack above the hosel. G-7 $100.
143.....18.....UNKNOWN MAKER: A wide toe smooth face Lofting Iron C-1895 with all stamps "emoried" away by over zealous caddies. Nice face shape. G-7 $100.
143.....19.....WORKMAN LIMITED, WOODCHESTER, ENGLAND: A C-1895 very long blade Cleek with double circle stamp "Workman Limited, Woodchester". Nice ASH shaft with wrapped leather grip. A nice collectible. G-7 $145.
143.....20.....ST ANDREW GOLF CO, DUNFIRMLINE & GLASGOW: A SUPERB anti-shank stamped "Logan Niblick" with his Diamond back design and also stamped "St. Andrews Golf Co." G-8++ $295.
143.....21.....UNKNOWN MAKER: An outstanding Anti-shank Niblick C-1910-15 stamped "Fairlie Pattern" in block lettering and also having the British "Union Jack" Flag mark near the toe. Nice collectible! G-8 $250.
143.....22..... ANDERSON, JAMES, ANSTRUTHER: "J Anderson" boldly on the head of a circa 1860-70 dark stained Beech Long Nose Play Club. The neck is long and graceful with original looking splice whippings. The grip is a white "Kid" skin. The face has a leather repair at the toe, which was quite common on clubs from this era. A nice example of a late feather ball era Play Club from a famous club maker. G-7 $2350.
143.....23.....CLARK, J & D, MUSSELBURGH: A RARE PAIR of Driver and Brassie both heads stamped "J & D Clark, Compressed, Musselburgh" and both shafts also stamped below replacement sheep skin grips. Both have leather face inserts as made. Willie Park held the patent for the Compressed head woods and these undoubtedly were made by Park and sold by Clark. The head and neck were "steamed" so the neck could be "bent" allowing the grain to run from the head, straight up the shaft. John Dunn's "One Piece", patented several years later, was probably copied from this principle. Both G-7. The pair $890.
143.....24.....CROSTHWAITE, ANDREW, ST. ANDREWS: "CROSTHWAITE" in small block letters on a C-1900 Beech head Bulger Brassie with ram's horn slip between the full brass sole plate and the face. Andrew was on his own for only about the year 1900, most likely when this club was made. He made very few, however, well made clubs for select St. Andrews clients. His wooden head clubs are a RARE find and highly coveted by serious collectors. G-7 $800.
143.....25.....LEITH GOLF COMPANY: Circa 1900-1910 Persimmon head spliced neck Driver stamped "Leith Golf Company" in an oval. All weather grip over original shaft. Nice club! The "Leith Links" are in Edinburgh, Scotland. G-8 $225.
143.....26.....MC FARLANE, JAMES, CARNOUSTIE: An outstanding C-1910 Spoon stamped "J Mc Farlane, Carnoustie". The sole has a full brass plate. All original and a nice Scottish collectible. G-8 $225.
143.....27.....SCOTTISH GOLF CLUB MFG, EDINBURGH: "SGCMCo Ltd, Edinburgh" is on the honey colored TRANSITIONAL pear shaped head. Very old splice whippings may be original. Sheep skin grip is a replacement. SGCMCo was only in business from 1895-1898 and their clubs are seldom offered and highly collectible. G-7 $575.
143.....28.....SIMPSON, ROBERT, CARNOUSTIE: An outstanding C-1900 thick neck Brassie with ram's horn slip between the face and full brass sole plate. "R Simpson" in block letters on the golden Beech head. The original shaft has Simpson's oval stamp below a replacement buff grip. G-8 $350.

143.....29.....FORGAN, ROBERT, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND: An outstanding "Forganite" fairway club with a three level sole, which is stamped "Spoon". The head is stamped "R Forgan, St Andrews" and in a "Forganite" below in a diamond. All original with a stamped shaft. G-8 $250.
143.....30.....TOLLEY & CO., LONDON: Unusual Brass Face and sight alignment Driver. Pictured and described in Ellis' "Club Maker's Art" P-439. Ellis also offered an unstamped example in Cat. #1, 1998, for $450. Nice example of this RARE club. G-7+ $490.
143.....31.....BRIDGEPORT GUN & IMPLEMENT CO, CT: C-1900 smooth face Putter with light, however, fully readable "BGI" stamp. The original shaft is stamped below the replacement buff grip. G-6+ $100.
143.....32.....NICHOLS BROS, WESTBORO, MASS: "Nicholls Special" on a C-1897-1900 severely bent neck smooth face blade made in the Willie Park style. Well done replacement shaft and grip. G-7++ $175.
143....33.....SCHENECTADY: A RARE Left Handed model with "Schenectady Putter, Pat. Mar. 24, 1903" in large, deep, bold letters on the back. The head simply stamped "D Ball" in block letters. An outstanding example of a RARE American collectible. G-8 $375.
143.....34.....UNKNOWN MAKER: Aluminum head mallet with wide "T" bar sight line and two RAILS, or runners designed to eliminate "Drag" while putting. This is similar to the Melhorn model by "Streamline". All original. G-8 $125.
143.....35.....WRIGHT & DITSON, BOSTON, MA: "A H Findlay" and "Wright & Ditson, Makers 1" on a C-1899-1905 severely bent neck, wide sole smooth face putter. Original stamped shaft below a replacement buff grip. G-8 $110.
143.....36.....FINLAY, ALEX, BRONXVILLE, NY: C-1900 smooth face brass blade putter stamped "Alex Finley, Bronxville" on the head and "A Finley" on the shaft. Replacement grip over old underlistings. G-6+ $100.
143.....37.....SPALDING, USA: A nice C-1900 Brass blade putter with both head and shaft stamped "Morristown". Sheep skin grip is a replacement. "L" stamped at the toe signifying a Ladies Putter. G-7+ $100.
143.....38.....SPALDING, USA: C-1900 "Morristown" Brass blade with a very nice Baseball Trademark stamp. "A G Spalding & Bros." on the shaft below an original looking tattered sheep skin grip. G-7 $100.
143.....39.....SPALDING, USA: An outstanding "Crescent" Brass blade with a perfect Baseball Trademark stamp. Shaft stamp partially hidden by some extra whipping at the bottom of the original sheep skin grip. Really nice collectible. G-8 $135.
143.....40.....SPALDING, USA: "SPALDING SPECIAL" on a C-1897 SUPERB Brass head blade putter. The shaft is a dramatic golden ASH and is stamped "Spalding Special" below the old sheep skin grip. About as nice as they come! G-9 $450.
143.....41.....TRYON, PHILADELPHIA: C-1895-1900 compact blade Brass putter clearly stamped "J & D Clark, Makers, Musselburgh" and also boldly stamped "Tryon, Phila". G-7 $125.
143.....42.....KILGOUR, BILL, PELHAM, NY: An outstanding round head smooth face Niblick c-1900-1910. "Bill Kilgour, Pelham, NY" and "Warranted (hand with pointing finger) Forged Niblick" on the back. G-8 $175.
143.....43.....MACGREGOR, DAYTON, OH: Carruthers thru hosel shafted smooth face Cleek C-1900 with the small double circle mark around a Shamrock. Original stamped shaft with replacement grip. G-6 $100.

143.....47.....SPALDING, USA: C-1898-1900 Lofter with saw tooth nicking. "The Spalding" on both head and shaft (has whipping over a repair three inches above the hosel) and original, tattered, sheep skin grip. G-6 $100.
143.....48.....SPALDING, USA: "The Spalding" on both head and shaft of a C-1898-1900 smooth face Iron. Grip is a buff replacement. G-7 $100.
143.....49.....SPALDING, USA: Circa 1893-1896 Left Handed long blade Lofting Iron stamped "Spalding" in large block letters. Period replacement shaft looks original, however, is not stamped. One of Spalding's earliest domestic irons...and left handed too! G-7+ $190.
143.....50.....SPALDING, USA: Carruther's Patented thru hosel shafting on a smooth face, diamond back Cleek stamped "The Spalding" on head and original shaft. Sheep skin grip is a replacement. An outstanding example of this scarce C-1898-1900 early American collectible. G-8 $225.
143.....51.....WRIGHT & DITSON, BOSTON, MA: "Wright & Ditson" in script on a circa 1893-1896 smooth face Lofting Iron. Tiny "Wright & Ditson" shaft stamp below the slightly tattered original sheep skin grip. A significant early American collectible in outstanding, all original condition. G-8 $375.
143.....52.....BRIDGEPORT GUN & IMPLEMENT CO, CT: "Aberdeen" in fancy script on the head of a C-1900 Driver in outstanding condition. "490" is stamped on the back of the neck. Shaft and sheep skin grip look original, however, the splice whippings have been expertly replaced. Nice club! G-8 $290.
143.....53.....HEATLY, BRUCE: An outstanding C-1920 spliced neck wooden CLEEK stamped "Bruce Heatly" in script. This unusual wood has a full brass sole plate and the loft of about a #4 wood. All original. G-8 $250.
143.....54.....SPALDING, USA: "The Spalding" on both head and shaft on a circa 1898-1900 spliced neck Brassie with full brass sole plate which is stamped "185". About an inch and a half flake from the toe to the sweetspot keeps this from the superb class. Grip is a sheep skin replacement. Overall G-6 $195.
143.....55.....SPALDING, USA: C-1901-1905 honey colored Persimmon head Spoon stamped "Model H" below the large Baseball Trademark. Period replacement shaft stamped "Spalding Gold Medal" below a sheep skin grip. Nice collectible as the replacements are well done and look original. G-7+ $295.
143.....56.....SPALDING, USA: C-1898-1900 dark stained Driver stamped "The Spalding" on both head and shaft. Horn and face show very little evidence of play. Grip is a sheep skin replacement. G-7+ $325.
143.....57.....WRIGHT & DITSON, BOSTON, MA: C-1898-1903 shallow face Driver with "Wright & Ditson" in script on the head and the larger block lettering shaft stamp below the original tattered grip. G-6 $195.

Original grip is tattered, however, far better than a replacement. A SIGNIFICANT early American collectible, especially in all original condition except for replaced splice whippings. G-7+ $600.
143.....63.....MACGREGOR, DAYTON, OH: An outstanding LEFT HANDED pretty face "Master Driver" with a large back weight. Seven round "Ivorine" inserts in a red face plate. Nice display club. G-8 $145.

143.....65.....AMPCO MANUFACTURING, MILWAUKEE: A very scarce, if not RARE c-1930 Aluminum head with a Brass face insert. The sole stamped in fancy script "Brassey". Vastly underrated by Georgiady. I have SEEN only 6 of these and handled two (Driver or Brassey) in the past thirteen years. Looks all original. G-8+ $390.

143.....67.....MACGREGOR, DAYTON, OH: A seldom offered SUPERB" Aluminum head fairway club C-1915. "Macgregor, Dayton, O" stamped boldly on the head above the number "17". The lofted face has large dot punched scoring. Original stamped shaft and burgandy calf grip. This scarce collectible is virtually MINT. G-9 $450.
